Anniversaries

As we do each year, we went to Great Falls Park today to celebrate our wedding anniversary since it was where the Hubby and I exchanged our vows. The Great Falls excursion was a little later than usual this year - our anniversary was last month, but we've had other things going on this past month and just weren't able to get out to the Falls until today. It turned out that today was also the second anniversary of Boris' passing, and we couldn't think of a better way to spend the day than to get out to Great Falls since Boris enjoyed those trips very much. Today was the perfect day to be outdoors too - absolutely gorgeous and sunny with temperatures in the mid-70s. So we packed up the dogs, got some sandwiches for a little picnic out there, and set off for today's adventure.

We tried to get a few frame-worthy pictures of us with the dogs, but it's not always easy getting humans and canines looking at the camera at the right moment. Much easier when one of us is taking the picture and getting the dogs' attention.



I tossed the Cuz to get the dogs to look at the camera and happened to snap the picture as the Cuz was in the frame. I couldn't have done that if I had tried!

The dogs slept all the way home from the park, so I think they had a lot of fun. We couldn't have asked for a better day for this trip.
