A Picture is Worth.....

Well, around here, a picture of Roxie doing agility would be worth a lot, considering how seemingly hard they are to come by. In spite of having a team of photographers at last week's agility class (thanks Janice, RJ, and Ken for braving the heat and the bugs!!!), we really couldn't capture much in terms of Roxie in action. It was already getting too dark outside to take regular photos and flash photography was prohibited by our agility instructors for fear that the flash would be too much of a distraction for the dogs. None of the dogs even noticed any of the few flash pictures that were snapped, but alas, the instructors put the kibosh on any flash photography. We might have been able to get more pictures if the instructors hadn't spent the last precious minutes of sunlight talking for so long before getting class started:

And then there's this curious thing that seems to happen when you try to take a photo of Roxie in action... she turns into a black streak in the photo. If there are ever any more "Matrix" movies and they need a dog in the film for those crazy action sequences, I think she would be perfect for the part.





The last photo was taken several years ago, obviously, before Boris' amputation.

For now, agility is off until September, due to the Prince William County Fair being held later this month at our usual training area. We're probably going to move into a class that starts an hour earlier, but by September, it'll still probably be too dark to take decent photos out there. So if we can't get any pictures in September, we might have to try again NEXT YEAR!!! Yikes!
